Philippines Interior Designer
Philippines interior designer, especially for a client's main residence, is about a very carefully built-up balance of many different, often disparate, elements. Unlike a holiday house or boat which is often designed to a theme, a home has to have an added value of everyday comfort and as well as being a stimulating environment, it also has to be able to house valued memorabilia, items of personal importance and family heirlooms. For the interior designer, this already places a change of emphasis in the way they can approach a new design Philippines interior designer. The limitations and necessary inclusions placed on a new look for an interior can appear irreconcilable. Designers also need to take into account the needs and personality of the whole family.
On a recent project with a young London-based couple, I was given a wonderful chance to mix my own Modernist style with the Victorian heritage of the house Philippines interior designer and the clients' love of antiques. This mixing of old and new in a 'classic traditional' style not only suited the space constraints of the room sizes, but also enabled both me and the clients to feel a part of the design process as the flexibility in the design enabled the clients' personality to shine in the reflection of their personal acquisitions.
The clients were keen antique shoppers and spent many weekends in shops and at fairs. While antiques for them were often impulse buys made for the love of the piece, antique fairs such as Olympia are fantastic places for interior designers Philippines interior designer like me to source items that will help to blend pieces bought for sheer pleasure with the new design in a cohesive fashion in particular is an inspiring place to bring clients to show them how pieces can work together, as the dealers there spend so much time and talent displaying their beautiful stock. Prior to the fair opening, some dealers spend weeks creating a stand that is tantamount to a small house with perfectly styled rooms upstairs and down!
In the dining room, one of the clients' antique rugs rests delicately in front of a contemporary Italian-styled sofa, velvet cushions and modern art Philippines interior designer. This balances the large polished mahogany table and antique chandelier. A room beautiful in its simplicity, as this room is, where the clients would be hosting most of their entertaining, it was befitting that the colour and vibrancy should be brought by the owners, their guests and the food rather than the decoration.
