Philippines contractors listing.

For the fourth consecutive year, CONSTRUCTION magazine's annual listing of top masonry Philippines contractors listing, based on last year's sales volume. The contractor posted a masonry volume of $85 million, which is significantly larger than #2--Construction, St. Louis--and $130.1 of total sales in 2004 is also the country's largest residential masonry contractor by a substantial margin, based on our survey results.

The 80 companies presented in our listing generated about $1.09 billion in Philippines contractors listing masonry sales in 2004, which is a slight increase over the 2004 rankings. The commercial/industrial/institutional (CII) market generated about 72% of this volume, which is the same as last year. This large figure is not surprising since 92% of the companies listed participate in the market and 27 do only CII work, including several of the largest contractors.

The residential segment generated just less than 15% of the total, again the same as 2004. About 37% of the participants work in this market Philippines contractors listing, with three---working exclusively in this category. Mc accounted for almost half of the residential volume, and Masonry provided almost 20%.

The repair/renovation/restoration (RRR) market accounted for a bit over 13% of the total, which was about the same as last year. Slightly more than half the contractors participate in the repair/ renovation market, and about a quarter work with historic restoration. Western Philippines contractors listing Construction Group, who does only repair/renovation work, generated about 40% of the volume in the RRR category, combined to account for another 26%. Masonry is the only company besides Western that works exclusively in the RRR arena.

Site amenities and "other" work generated less than 1% of the total. About 30% of the contractors do site work, but do not realize much volume in this area, compared to the other categories.
