Philippine blueprints
These are the documents (made by the
designer) that technically
illustrate the dimensions, location and orientation of the structure that you
want to build in Cebu, Manila, Davao or elsewhere in the Philippines. Also the
materials to be used are included. The
homebuilder / contractor
needs these blue-prints to do the actual building.
What are the parts of the blue print?
· Perspective
A three-dimensional drawing of the house; mostly on the front-page.
· Location plan
This points out where exact the property is located, like on a map.
· Site development plan
A 'footprint' of the building within the boundaries of the lot; you can see the direction on where the water-supply and electricity enter your property.
· Floor plan
It shows the horizontal layout of the house. The size of the rooms, where the windows are, how many doors etc.
· Elevation
This describes the outside view of all sides of the building, you can see the size of windows, doors etc.
· Cross section
Like a floor plan but now the house is vertically cut in two.
· Structural plan
Showing the size of the steel bars used to reinforce the concrete plus dimensions of other steel- or wooden structures.
This have to follow the Philippine structural- and building codes because the Building Officials have to review/approve it before you can start building.
· Mechanical/sanitary plan
The location of the air-conditioning system, faucets, water heaters, pumps, storage tanks and even the drainage systems are found here.
· Electrical plans
If you have a good idea where your T.V. and other electric appliances have to be placed; in the electrical plans you have to point out where the outlets have to be found.
· Landscaping plans
Where is the swimmingpool? What kind of shrubs and plants will be added to the garden?
